My name is Alasdair Munro, and I am a paediatric registrar working as a senior clinical research fellow in paediatric infectious diseases in the UK.

I run early and late phase vaccine clinical trials and study infections in children, including Covid-19. I am interested in child health and infectious diseases, epidemiology, and the generation of medical evidence more broadly.

I have been fortunate to have been involved in the UK pandemic response, including in running several Covid-19 vaccine clinical trials, leading the Covid-19 in children evidence review for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, sitting on the working group for the NIHR Transmission of Covid-19 in Schools, and on The Lancet Commission for Covid-19.
